ABOUT
Francesca Di Bonito is a photographer and visual artist. She creates a hybrid and multiform work from her past artistic studies and her experience of reportage. Between a documentary vision of the world and the construction of fictional narratives, her research integrates images with other practices such as performance, textile installation and video.
Francesca DI BONITO borrows her tools and information from the societal repertoire, then she works through a process of subvertion of its narratives and traditional readings.
By crossing photography, and other disciplines both as documentary and medium, her work assumes new volumes and a new nature. Her stories humorously traverse the cycles of life, where social and organic bodies become a writing tool that questions collective issues and identity.
Her work is thus part of the field of visual and contemporary art.
Francesca DI BONITO has lived and worked in Paris and around the world since 2004.
